My professional background is centered on creating personalized customer service experiences. This includes more than 20 years in management roles, most of which have involved the process of interviewing, hiring, and training teams in customer service, sales, and leadership. I am also skilled at public speaking and leading group events with an emphasis on professional growth and development as well as personal empowerment.
Music is central to life. Whether an upbeat dance anthem or a nostalgic ballad, I feel everything should have a soundtrack. All the things we do today will become tomorrow’s memories. Music can anchor those experiences and freeze them in a time capsule of images and emotions. I grew up singing, which is still something I love to do. During my free time, I love to “play tourist“ as a resident of San Francisco. Whether taking a bay cruise under the scenic Golden Gate Bridge, visiting various museums, or wandering the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park, I love learning new things about the city’s history as well as about science and other cultures. With my iPhone in-hand, you can often find me enjoying my passion for photography by capturing the surrounding landscapes and architecture wherever I happen to be. I captured the photo of the bridge below in the Japanese Gardens at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden in Fort Worth , Texas.
Beyond the camera lens, I’m focused on seeing the world through the eyes of others. As a “student of life,” it’s rewarding to hear people’s stories, including their struggles and victories. From this, I gain a broader understanding of the full human experience, especially that of LGBTQIA+ people in other countries and cultures. An unwavering desire to make a difference for others gives me a sense of purpose. I constantly look for people’s gifts and talents, and I like to share with others in uplifting ways what I see as their strengths and potential. People inspire me, and by mirroring back the amazing qualities I see in others, they are often empowered from new outlooks and perspectives about themselves and motivated into action. Aligned with that goal, I am an advocate for social justice issues, particularly those affecting the LGBTQIA+ community, women, BIPOC, and other marginalized groups.
